Welcome to the Down Syndrome Information Network of the Twin Tiers!  This group is dedicated to education and support of those with Down Syndrome or those who have loved ones with the condition.

We are closely affiliated with the Chemung ARC and receive support from them.

Announcing the Rene Jones Memorial

Buddy Walk - September 27, 2008

We renamed the Buddy Walk in honor of Rene, who passed away Novemer 2006.  She was one of the founding members of our group and the driving force behind a lot of our advocacy.  Rene did all our public speaking as well as the newsletter and many of the tasks associated with the Buddy Walk. We miss her greatly and honor her memory by renaming the Buddy Walk for her.

This year we're hoping to promote more interaction between walkers and members of the DS community.  If you have any ideas or would like to join the committee, please contact one of the officers.

We're also interested in getting more teams of people to participate.
